Day-Wise Itinerary
Day 1
NJP/Bagdogra to Yuksom (Historical Base)
Scenic drive into West Sikkim to Yuksom (5,840 ft). Explore Norbugang Coronation Stone and Dubdi monastery.
Route / Stops: NJP/Bagdogra → Jorethang → Yuksom
Overnight: Yuksom
Day 2
Trek Yuksom to Bakhim / Tshoka (9,800 ft)
Trek through lush temperate rainforest, cross four suspension bridges over Rathong and Prek Chu rivers. Steep ascent to Tshoka.
Route / Stops: Yuksom → Sachen → Bakhim → Tshoka (14 km)
Overnight: Tshoka Camp
Day 3
Trek Tshoka to Dzongri (13,000 ft)
Trek past Phedang through enchanting red and pink rhododendron groves. Reach high meadow of Dzongri.
Route / Stops: Tshoka → Phedang → Deorali Top → Dzongri (9 km)
Overnight: Dzongri Camp
Day 4
Dzongri Top Sunrise (13,778 ft) & Acclimatization
Pre-dawn climb to Dzongri View Point for panoramic sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt. Pandim, Mt. Simvo, and Mt. Kabru.
Route / Stops: Dzongri → Dzongri Top → Dzongri
Overnight: Dzongri Camp
Day 5
Trek Dzongri to Tshoka Descent
Descend back via Phedang to Tshoka Tibetan refugee settlement.
Route / Stops: Dzongri → Phedang → Tshoka (9 km)
Overnight: Tshoka Camp
Day 6
Trek Tshoka to Yuksom
Final downhill trek through pine forests back to Yuksom. Celebrate successful trek completion.
Route / Stops: Tshoka → Bakhim → Yuksom (14 km)
Overnight: Yuksom
Day 7
Yuksom to NJP/Bagdogra Departure
Vehicle transfer back to Siliguri/Bagdogra for flight/train.
Route / Stops: Yuksom → Geyzing → NJP / Bagdogra
